Sprint Business Skills Revolves Around Industry-Specific English Skills
According to surveys conducted by Cambridge Assessment English, 32% of customer services staff, 36% of finance personnel, 37% of logistics employees, and up to 40% of HR professionals do not have the English skills needed to succeed in their roles.
CEF level B2 is generally considered full professional proficiency, but getting there can take years of hard work.
“Most professionals do not need to become bilingual,” explains Robert Szabo, Vice President of Learning Sciences, Learnship. “They only need to master the specialized vocabulary and business situations they deal with on a daily basis.”
As its name suggests, Sprint Business Skills revolves entirely around industry-specific skills. Learnship’s professional writers dived into authoritative material, researching the current and future challenges of each sector, to develop an intensive five-week course where learners focus on topics that matter to them, their clients, and their peers.
Each week, learners get to take on new indispensable vocabulary through engaging digital modules and spend a full hour practicing relatable scenarios with a professional trainer until they are confident and fluent. For more flexibility, everything happens online—which also means the trainers are recruited based on their expertise and field of competence only, regardless of their location.
Features of Sprint Business Skills include:
- An initial placement test to assess the learner’s proficiency
- A five-week program, available from A2 to C1 levels, focusing on industry-specific content
- One hour a week of self-paced digital learning content
- Five weekly 60-min sessions with an expert trainer
- Unlimited access to additional tools, such as email templates, a news feed, and a culture center that can be used directly on the job.
“We developed Sprint Business Skills as part of a bigger project we call Precision Learning. We currently offer 16 courses and cover 8 industries: HR, sales, customer services, logistics, healthcare and pharma, technology, FMCG, and finance.”
